Just goes to show what a lot of us already knew - pile up was caused by mismanagement. Those roadworks should have had warning several corners prior not 50 yards before repair works.

If anyone should pay for this carnage it's Nurburgring Automotive not any of the poor sods involved. Perhaps Richter and Lindner should pay out of their own theiving fraudulent pockets?

Yes we all need to drive with care at the 'ring and of course expect the unexpected over the blind crests and corners but this incident was entirely preventable.

That Ring Taxi driver should have known better too as he should have been well aware of the roadworks. Being experienced surely he would have glanced at the warning board at the barriers (unlike most others who dont' seem to take any notice at all)

EDIT - would it not have been more prudent to close the track whilst they repaired the armco instead of causing a hazard on one of the fastest parts of the circuit.

Big Al.
