Handing back a contract hire car

Wondered if anyone here has any recent experience of handing back the keys on a contract hire at the end of its term. My car goes back in a few weeks time and I've been warned that because residuals are poor these days the finance companies are going OTT on fair wear and tear in an attempt to squeeze more money from poor punters like me, anyone know how true this is?

This might give you some assistance. If you do get charged, argue it. Ask for proof they actually carried out the repair you have been charged for.

I've heard stories about high charges for small amounts of damage.
