Yea. I wanted to have another look at your car so decided pass my mate
It does look mean coming up behind. I did have a quick look at much it would be to twin turbo a 350 when I got home, then I got depressed when I saw the costs.

Car looks and sounds very nice though dude. I like a lot.
Thanks man, I love the DC5's too, My girl friend really wanted one but she's a bit small for them really so she's looking at a S2K now! Your vids look great! Have you been watching any of Stephen Brook's films on Vimeo by any chance? If not it's definitely worth having a look because he creates beautiful vids using a humble DSLR and a few primes.
To take it to the next level I would suggest investing and a tripod with a fluid video head to give smoother pans and tilts. Manfrotto, Vinten and Libec are the most well known, but their stuff isn't cheap. One super-cheap way to get smother pans with a cheaper tripod is to hook a rubber band around the pan bar and pull the tripod head round with your finger. The band acts as a shock absorber and smoothes the movement.
Quick question - what are you using to create the shaky low-signal type effects?

Thanks mate, A fluid head is next on my shopping list! The effects were all done usinf FCP X software. You can pick a trial version up that lasts 30 days! I think the video needs a few "whole car" shots at the end with some nice effects.
In regards to the car, its great, however the standard Z wheel does look awfully cheap, it may just be the video though...
Yeah no full car shots as this was taken on the driveway! lol...Wheel? steering wheel? Yeah Its not the best and I have a Nardi tornio deep corn ready to go on when I pick up a steering wheel quick release! I think a few full car shots in a cool location (im thinking derelict factory) with some nice lighting effects effects would slide in lovely right at the end of a very cool video.
Good work!djtimodj said:

Is there a specific effect that you dropped onto the clip in FCP or did you create it yourself? I use Premiere and I'm sure I could replicate the effect by using a lined overlay, playing with the white levels and keying the movement, which isn't a huge amount of work but if there's a drag-and-drop effect that gives that result I'll look around for the CS5 equivalent.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
