What car, 5k, Clio 182 Cup or?
Discussion
Yes another stupid what car thread.
I have 5k to spend, Clio Cup seems to be ticking all the boxes,
Pretty nippy pressing on circa 7sec 0-60
decent mpg, (30+ commuting)
some toys, (AC, Cruise etc)
good insurance price,
good driving experience.
Am i missing any other cars that would tick the same boxes.

I have looked at the Trophy's due to the seats. I just think they are a little out of my budget and i will be looking at a high miler for 5k. A little background this is going to be my first 'proper' car that has cost me a fair wedge so i'm looking at something that i will keep for a good few years so im after a tidy example with low miles really.
I am coming from a Mk2 Mr2 that is trying to throw me backwards into hedges in the wet. I just want something that will be a fairly good bet that no big bills will come along.
I was looking at Mondeo ST220's but i think they are a little too grown up for me.

If I was in the OP's position with £5k burning a hole in my tracksuit bottoms I'd be all over that Trophy like a dog eating hot chips. Mr Trophy said:
So OP budget will need to add in doscs and pads all round very shortly plus a new steering wheel!!Thanks for all the input guys. Bashing the different cars through compare im looking at £1100 for pretty much every car mentioned, the DC Tegy £950 and the clio cup £850.
My commute is 30 miles of A roads and going through towns, and the car will spend most of its life on NSL A roads.
personally i don't really like Clios but the insurance saving and the fact it ticks all the boxes is making it the contender at the moment, but i do like the Megane cups.
