Seen in Asda (Don't worry, I wasn't shopping there, a mate took the photo).

By causing the trend for out of town superstores supermarkets are the worst offenders for contributing to emissions then they want to sell their green credentials. Hypocritical bds...

What if you do park there? I take it that they have no power to do anything about it?
My X5 is old enough to avoid the new tax bands.

Surely it should be "Parking for efficient drivers only" Lets face it, 99.9% of people owning a car have absolutely no idea how to drive to maximise economy............

I have no idea what tax band either of my cars is in and I suspect most of the public couldn't tell you. Do Asda have a list of all the cars and tax bands so that someone can monitor it? As above, what can they actually do about it if I do park there anyway?

Also, apart from a silly green sign what's so special about those spaces? Are they bigger or closer?

We should also closely monitor these spaces for spazo parking, as there seems to be an almost perfect correlation between owning an "eco" car and having a complete lack of spacial awareness biggrin

Even if they did what would they do about a debadged E60 M5 for instance - "Oh no it's the 2.0 diesel with a bodykit" as you roar away from them.

If these spaces are closer to the store, then surely asda are ruining the environment by making the higher emission vehicles drive all the way to the other end of the car park..
