I've got a new lease car coming next week - nothing special, just a little econo-hatch to ttake the strain off my SL500 and R1.

I want to take off the tyres that come with the car and fit some all-season tyres ( think Goodyear Vector/Kleber Quadraxer with the three peaks and snowflake symbol). We've had these on the OHs C class and they bare, quite simply, the best tyres I've ever seen.

Given that it's a 20k 2year lease the tyres should easily last the duration on such a light car. Does anyone know if this would be a no no with the lease company when I hand the car back? They'd be getting the car back with premium branded all season tyres slo I think this should be ok.

Opinions?

Why can't you refit the OE tyres that the car will be delivered on before you hand it back?

Lease companies often specify who you have to use to get new tyres and are quite strict about how far gone they are before they replace them.

I'd hazard a guess that even though you will be paying, they will not want it to happen.
