Am I the only one to dislike ....
Discussion
You are not the only one to dislike them, as above many here don't like them. I don't much like them on new cars and can't stand them on older cars.
However. Get used to them. They are now law on new cars and because the 'early adopters' - namely Audi and Mercedes went out of their way to make them 'cool' they have found there way onto Max Power brigade cars and cars from specific groups in society who are fitting leds of often dubious quality to tacky old cars - for what real reason I don't really know. I know this ain't what you want to hear chap.

Seriously?
I recall reading something about permanant DRLs being mandatory on all new cars after 2013 or something like that. Let's hope not, they look naff, so, so chavvy!http://ec.europa.eu/enterprise/sectors/automotive/...
I have them on my car and I have to admit, I think they look great.
I had also heard/read that they will become a legal requirement on all new cars sometime soon. Interestingly though, although thy are making them a legal requirement, you can actually drive with them off (to the best of my knowledge) - at least in Audi's you can - you have your lights in the "off" position - its only when you have them switched to the "auto" or "on" position on the dial that the DTRL come on - I'm assuming this will change when the law changes in 2013 or whenever...
