Well just going about my business, go into the cafeteria at college and what should I stumble upon but bloodhound SSC.
Well actually I sort of knew it was going to be there, however they also had a simulator (which I didn't get any pictures of) but it was great fun and I got an average speed of 1008mph.

Anyway the important bit, pictures. Excuse the poor quality, they were taken with my phone.

Just ask and I'll put the rest up,
Didn't get chance to ask the guy who designed it any questions but I did mention Pistonheads and said they need some big smileys hehe

Great stuff, this project.

Hoping it delivers when it comes down to it!

Yep, quite a nice chap the bloke who designed it, great to know that the UK can still create technological master pieces like this. Its got a lot to do the beat Thrust SSC.

I think I've still got my certificate somewhere from my go in the Thrust SSC at the Earl's Court Motor Show when I was small...

Excellent! It's a fantastic project they've got going on. I'd love to have been able to see and touch Thrust 2 in my school days but made-do with getting the scale models from collecting coupons on cereal boxes!

The real car isn't built yet, this is a mock up.

Oh and one with my ugly mug in it (taken by my workshop teacher)

if you want to see both of the previous thrust models, they have them at Coventry Transport museum.

Actually they have a lot of good stuff there, one actual reason to go to Coventry. Not a lot else here worth seeing lol!

Very nice! Shame to not get some proper awesome photos of it, but with people milling around you can't anyway. Bet you were pretty chuffed to see that, and then exasperated by nobody else really getting why it was so important hehe

So, who else is apparently going to have their name on the side of it after sponsoring them? biggrin

Yup, I was almost late for one of my classes because of it hehe
Would of had another go on the simulator but I was hungry and it was 2pm. Still bloomin good surprise though, the little kids ruined my chance of getting more than two goes on the simulator.

Tight for the first few seconds, but once you've burnt a few hundred litres of fuel they are actually quite commodious. Until you fill up again 5 minutes later...
