After a wheeler dealer episode about said car I'm really doubtful I would actually want one of these.

Sure epic history with the films
Gull wing doors

But IMHO they are a bit pants after that. A wheezy power unit which you would want to keep STD and iffy looks.

I'd take a Lotus Esprit GT3 v8 any day over one of these

What am I missing?
Oh yea zero depn which would be nice but that's all

Have a photo of Mrs WR sitting in the 1980 Birmingham motor show Delorean somewhere knocking about...I'll see if I can dig it out......

Enjoyed the "Wheeler dealer" episode....Edd China cracks me up...very talented bloke.

Answer to the question......no.

A Delorean is top of my wish list for when I win the lottery, followed by an M5 and a F40.

They're my all time favourite car even with all the flaws.

Yep - I'd love one, and if money were no object, I'd buy one they are just toooooo cooool!!

That said, if it were a choice of a DeLorean or an Esprit, there'd be no contest. Delorean for a week, but the Esprit forever.

I would not buy one, never in a million years. It's a unique concept, but I'd never want to own one. Especially not with that crap engine, thats just an insult!

I would have one just for the curiosity and history/notoriety of the brand.

Yeah, if I had lotso excess money. Very cool cars. Just need to rectify the flaws that were caused by design changes for the US market homologation. Fit a decent engine and you'd be well away.

Must say ed china did a superb job on that car and frankly making a £5-6k profit excl labour costs it does wash it's face.

I wonder of they will do a vette??

Without a shadow of a doubt.
They are the coolest car EVER, and everyone will think you're sub zero cool for owning one.

It's matters not that they're slow...although I like that one with a Toyota lump above!
