A23 armed police escort this morning?

This morning there was an armed police escort sweeping through traffic consisting of a five series estate in front and a range rover behind. The vehicle being escorted was a plain White unmarked 7.5ton truck. No windows, no markings, no sign of armouring. Seemed pretty weird. Any ideas?

high security prisoner going to court or en route to prison,these convoys dont stop for anything or anyone....

No windows or doors, just the tailgate for loading so not for prisoners.

Bullion or large cash transfer. Or possibly EOD, although they tend to have some markings.

I've seen armed escorts for prisioner transports and bullion deliveries in central London - they stop at lights, but chaps with MP5's get out of the cars to keep people away. Very dramatic
