Short Term Car Insurance?

My insurance is due renewal at the end of this month bu the car's going to be going either January or February next year so I don't really need a 12 month policy.

Is there any way of getting short term insurance cover for a reasonable price or would it be better to just go with a 12 month policy and cancel after three months?

Ive used them with no problems. Others have used them with no quite so much success.Have a google and make up your own mind.
