Chaps, I have had my number plates stolen and I'm after a set that have no shop slogan/logo on them.

I want them plain, I had a set on my car that were plain and I would like the same again.

I went to my local motor-factors as a temp. measure and got some made up. Unfortunately, it has their logo in massive text on them frown

Any ideas chaps?

Thanks.

hadn't thought about that actually.

More specifically, I want personal recommendations, or a link to a company that does them. There are loads on Google however, I don't know which companies will make a plate the way I want it.

If I were you I would get the cheapest personal plate I could find and transfer it on to your car and the stolen reg off. This ensures that any nonsense that your stolen reg gets up to won`t come back your way.

You do know they're illegal without the name of the plate maker, his postcode and the BS number, don't you..?

Yes chaps, I know they have to state their name etc on the plates.

It is a shame the stolen ones looked smart without all that clatter on them.

I have told the police already of the stolen plate, most likely to be used to steal fuel or something with my plate. It is a private plate that matches my T5 volvo C70 smile

Reads T5 and then kind of my surname, also got the same plate with V8 on it.. thus no chance of me losing these plates.

It might be satisfying to know the scrotes who nicked them could get pulled for illegal plates...hehe

Are you ready for all those speeding and parking tickets that will be winging their way through your letter box..?

I didn`t mean you would lose the plate, you just need to not have it on a car for a while. You could start to get all sorts of stuff coming back to you which is far easier to deflect if you can prove you aren`t using the plate.

Halfords do totally std plates, the makers mark is a simple name & postcode which you have to look very hard to see.

Well, I have been driving round with them for some time with no problems with the police.

I just hope these 'scrotes' don't get up to too much mischief. I can't be doing with getting pulled by the old bill and questioned..

We shall see, annoyingly of all the cars parked in the street he/they stole the most recognizable one... fools!

Personally I'd be more concerned with what the current owner of your stolen numberplates is doing with them. Have you told DVLA about the theft?

Perhaps it was the Police removing your illegal plates?

That's not what happens. They get caught on camera or get parking tickets, then you get the tickets and have to prove it wasn't your vehicle. You only get questioned if the other vehicle is involved in a hit and run or robbery. You have reported the theft, haven't you?

Suggest you put a distinctive sticker on your vehicle so it doesn't look like the scrote car. Or respray it. Or get a private plate.

Or as I suggested earlier get another plate for a while.
