Company car list time! Dilemmas again :( Help please!
Discussion
Dear all,
I have recently moved company and am in the fortunate position to be confronted with an excel spreadsheet of company cars to choose from! I love this part of my job but also it is the most tiring as I um and ah over what to do.
As a company car driver, my past is littered with Beemers and Audis so I am keen on trying something different. It may sound odd, but I would rather experience a different car with a 'worse' rating than another 'class leading' BMW, for me I need a change rather than just a different coloured paint job on the drive.
The company rules mean it must be an estate or a saloon and I keep the car for 2 years before changing.
My shortlist is as follows:
Alfa 159 Ti TBi -Test driven and loved it but company is having a little difficulty with the lease atm (so may drop out)
Volvo S60 T5 R-design saloon with Polestar upgrade -Approx 250 bhp?? This must be nice to have power in reserve without sacrificing comfort??
Volvo S60 D5 R-design Estate -I like powerful diesels, had an early Golf 150 TDi, and love the 5 cyliner sound of the D5, have driven the 163 version in the V70.
I do approx 30k per year so need to be comfortable, my last machine was the 325i so around 200 bhp would be good. Tax should be an issue, but I have decided that having a car I jump into with a smile is worth the extra £100 per month or so.
If anyone has driven any of these cars or has opinions or any other cars I should consider then please speak up!
Thanks
Paul
