Knocking noise from 52 Fiat Punto
Discussion
Hi,
My girlfriends DD has recently developed a strange knocking noise. It seems to be coming from the rear right hand side wheel. It only happens when the wheel is under load (such as when someone is in the back or through sharp left hand corners). I thought it may have been the CV joint, but everything appears to be ok. Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks

i definitley is'nt a CV joint at the rear , but if its more of a clicking of continuous repeated knocking under load then i would speculate it's a wheel bearing thats failed, but if it's an occasional knock it's probably bushes.
It's a continous knocking noise, like a rollercoaster climbing. Don't wheel bearings make more of a whining noise? Do you reckon it could be the subframe bushes?
ETA: as the car gains speed, the noise does too.
