Used to own one and made some good friends through the forum.

However, saw a thread on there today about how long it will take before values will bottom out and maybe start to rise. Many see it as a modern classic that was a 'ground breaking design' for it's time.

I'm not sure I agree, although I do agree it's design stands out, although I think it will be 20 years or so before anyone would consider them a modern classic, if at all. Even then I think only later mint examples, especially the special edition QS.

Thoughts?

Well it still looks great imho even after all these years especially with the Audi 18" alloys. Wife owns one currently (switched from a white DC5!) & used to own a roadster a few years back.

I don't think it will ever be a classic, because it never really broke any new ground or won massive acclaim. The design is great for it's time though, it really captures that late 90's German vibe, and marks a point of interest for Audi in that it is the last time they produced a car that is interesting to look at.

Personally I'd say no it won't be a classic. Not iconic or special enough.

In fact i'd go as far to say as it's aged badly. Just my 2p.

That reminds me I need to book a haircut tomorrow.
