Ok new guy, and I am somewhat "technology challenged", so forgive me if I am completely turned around and missed the proper area to introduce myself. If this is the case, commence with the yelling and cussing. I suppose if I do not deserve it yet, I will at sometime in the future

I am a serious gearhead from the US (California). I found this place while looking for restoration info on a 67 austin healey 3000 Mark III. I was looking for info on tracking the individual batch numbers on the engine and body parts, because restos are better when fully researched and documented (how is that for being overly obvious?)

I do have a couple other performance cars and motorcycles, but the healey is my current favorite, because I do get deeply involved in projects like this. When this car is finished, the next will be my fav, and so forth.

it is not so nice right now...the new top is still in the box, right next to the box with the new carpet. The passenger seat is not bolted in, the back seats are not there, and the drivers seat has two bolts holding it down (finger tight) just so I can move the car around

it dies have a freshly rebuilt engine and trans, and new, but dusty white paint, so I can say it is slowly progressing

either that or just a wave...depending on the person, not all fingers are necessary during that wave, either..

stick shift... now what part is that again?
It goes into overdrive with an ugly looking switch thing that sticks out of the dash. Is that the right stick?

Seems about right. My old B was a switch overdrive.

It doesn't sound too bad! If the car is ambulate the interior is the fun bit!

I will try to refrain from the double posts in the future. Right now I am just trying to figure everything out

Do they not have rehab centres in the US?

forget rehab...that would require that I admit there is a problem...
right now my only problem is lack of garage/shop space for all the toys I want
