I'm trying to get hold of the front Bilstein B6 shocks for my car. They are VE3-4311 (for an Alfa GTV V6).

They were discontinued a year or 2 ago I think, but I cannot believe there is not a single pair in stock somewhere.

It's annoying finding them because plenty of online shops list them, but appear to just drop ship with Bilstein directly and don't realise they can no longer get them.

Anyone have any ideas or know who actually stocks Bilstein shocks?

Thanks!

If you can't find them anywhere closer, these guys here

http://shop.alfisti.net/Tuning-Styling/Alfa-GTV-Sp...

have a good reputation. Should be in stock if they say so (and offer a discount)

Unfortunately they don't have them. I have the rears and Eibach springs from there. I will have to send the rears back and get Konis if I can't find the fronts.

Hm, very sorry... On the German page they claim to have them in stock, strange that they don't update that status.

They do list the B6's there, but only for the JTS and Twin Spark. I need the ones for the V6.

Ah, think I now get it, they have e.g. the VE3-4312 in stock, but that is no use because you have the right wink engine in that GTV. Quick search of German Ebay reveals: nothing. Bit desperate, but perhaps some of this

is still available...

Thanks for the link! How did you find them? I have emailed the seller.

There's some listed on eBay in Luxembourg that I've contacted the seller about, but I suspect he just drop-ships direct from Bilstein and does not know they're out of production.

Why do you want to fit something discontinued to your car. What happens if you need to replace them again during the life of the car?

I would just get something else. If there's nothing but OEM, then I'd get OEM obviously.

Luck, or rather Ask.com with query "ve3-4311" (google isn't quite what it used to be anymore wink).

Hope you are not right about the seller from Luxemburg, but as you said it looks a bit like they just list most of the Bilstein part numbers and use eBay as a shop front end.

Ok, well try phoning a branch tomorrow and give them that part number. I would check it for you but I'm not in tomorrow. I was copied into an email today that mentioned all remaining Bilstein stock to be returned, with the exception of the active S-class merc shocks. We are now keeping Sachs shocks as No.1 brand.

When I needed a pair of short custom bilstein inserts for my capri I went directly to Bilstein, who made me 2 pairs.
I think I got their number from Demon Tweeks.

Well I called a branch and the main phone line and they said they don't keep them in stock/have none. frown

Have just ordered from this guy on eBay, fingers crossed they actually exist.
