24 hours....

This week I've been helping a friend sell his CLK500.

It was doing 9mpg on the test drive and the chap buying it paid £500 less than the asking price. Quite frankly a) I was shocked someone came to see it so quickly (it was gold), b) We got close to the asking price.

I'm more of an Evo fan but you can't beat a V8!

I'd rather live with 9mpg each and every day than suffer brain death by diesel.

Roedean (Brighton), actually...

It's Carol Barnes' old house, the Newsreader.

I was going to say that. Looks like the road to David Lloyd.

I'm inclined to agree.

OP, if you got £30k for I share your amazement...

If the asking price was £500 then I don't...

When did she live there then?

She lived for many years on The Cliff, before she moved to the Marina.

I'm pretty certain she never lived in the house pictured.

Anyhoo, nice to know that there's still a market for big V8s

But you asked Carol who? And it says Barnes in the post above yours.

It's obvious, it's Carol Barnes.

I don't know who she is either but I know it's Carol Barnes.

The car certainly suited the house. Did the buyer have an orange leathery tan?

yes £500 less than asking could be 1% or 99%, this means nothing!
