This Sony head unit came with the car now you press the button to change from radio to cd player but if you press it again it come up with AUX. I can't see a jack to put an ipod lead or anything. It a bit old and I can't see the part number. but it does say Drive S mp3?

So what could the AUX be?

Have you checked the rear? AUX in is probably round the back.

Probably has AUX in the firmware, but no physical AUX port.

I bet there is then a model above with an aux port etc

CDX-F7500 It does have a CD multichanger input, it may be calling that AUX.

There are 6 phono plugs on the back - four are the F+R audio out, the left hand pair are AUX inputs.

Taken from another forum after googling "Sony CDXF7500 Aux In"

On the back has BUS AUDIO/AUX in and CD changer control

Slight thread hijack but I've got exactly the same headunit. I wondered that too. Mine cuts off if I turn it too high... and when I say that, I'm not talking very loud. Why is this?

Probably a bad ground, or the stock power cable can't give it enough power.
