Just seen top gear usa for the first time and i am not entirely taken with it. Testing aston martins in the dust of some flats in a straight line over and over again.
Their concusion on the aston, v12 is better and faster than v8. well done you.

Maybe your looking at it all wrong, I see topgear as purely entertainment, if i want facts or proper in depth reviews I go elsewhere.

I don't like it either - I really don't think it works quite as well as the UK one.

Infact, I think it's fking awful!

Their track looks nothing short of a morrisons car park with some white tape put down to create corners.

I don't watch the car reviews as they are never going to be very relevant to us in the UK. The cheap car challenges are entertaining though, I liked the toughest truck challenge and the 4x4 to vegas challenge.

Don't like it either. The jokes about the guy in that truck, the flammable one when he was saying he must have been a midget were so st. Also when the guest came on and their track is rubbish, can't beat the original show man

It is atrocious.

After disliking the first series, I'm not entirely sure why I tuned into the second, but I'm glad I did. Lots of car challenges, which are my favourite bits of UK Top Gear. Most impressive cars for $5k was pretty funny.

Awful. The British one is just as bad if not worse.

Annoying editing. I don't want .03 of a second clip of something that then flashes to another stupid angle with arty farty juxtapositions. I also cannot abide this trend of moving camera work (there must be a tech term for it) but where the camera operator puts his motions across as if anyone gives a crap what he has to say! Just FO!

Also the presenters of both shows grate me up the wrong way. It is past its sellby date and sucks. The audience are knobbers.

Sorry to be so negative and maybe i should have toned it down a touch but i think Top Gear and everything it is, is bloody awful television. It is my on button to rage.

Watched it once. Won't bother again. It emphasises just how good Clarkson is at his job really.

Odd.

Personally thought it was rather good, far more "car orientated" than Clarkson's chat show.
