I am a 25 year old male with 5 years no claims bonus and no points/convictions looking to insure a 1.2 Fiat Grande Punto.

I live in a safe area in a gated house and my car is normally parked in a secure garage overnight.

For some reason my insurance renewal has rocketed.

Can anyone suggest any good insurance brokers?

I really don't want to pay over the odds for car insurance as I am looking to upgrade to a new vehicle in the coming 6 months.

Mine went up as well, nothing's changed other than the price!

Shopped around a bit and it's a bit better but still more than I paid last year

Me wink.

Private message me the details and I will get you a quote in the morning.
I won't put the name of the company I work for on here incase I break some sort rule but will let you know once you do.

Thanks for your replies guys.

I would try Adrian Flux, but the website says they specialise in performance vehicles. I don't know if that means they won't consider a Fiat Grande Punto?

Last year I paid £328, this year I can't find anything less than £450.
I thought that insurance is meant to get cheaper once one hits 25, not more expensive dammit!

I've filled out the form on Adrian Flux and I'm still awaiting an email with their quote. Did it this afternoon around 1ish, is it usual for them to take this long to reply?

Give them a week or so to quote about £1,000 more than the Meerkats.

Hardly gives a good impression if they take this long for a quote. I mean it makes you wonder how long it would take them to reply to anything once they have your money.

The best I've had so far is from a supermarket, which I found surprising as I've always found them to be very expensive before.

Tesco insurance is really good. Unlike insurance companies and banks who have to rip drivers off to cover the now win no fee shysters. Tesco just need to add 0.01p to the price of their petrol to make that a day.

Just went on a "clasic" car insurance site to see how much my £500 Rover would be. The prices ranged from £1,795 to.....

hehe

I think I'll stick to £550 thanks. wink

Just mocked this up...

...I wonder how much they'll try to sue me for if I get it printed and wear it next time I'm in Norwich.

hehe

I'm looking at insurance quotes at the moment. Went to comparethemarket to update my details - forced to as it's been so long since I got a quote through them.

Get this message and then can't go any further:

RELATIONSHIP - cannot be PARTNERED as CLIENT is not Partnered/Cohabitee

This makes no sense.

The only question which relates to "relationship" is my marital status which has changed from cohabiting to married.

Bloody useless.
