Evening ladies and gents

I'm looking at running a beater through winter.

Can anyone recommend any insurers who don't try to bum you when insuring a second car; ie my no claims bonus is being used on my other car and not many insurers will give you a discount/ allow you to use NCB on 2 cars at the same time

Ridiculously, my current insurers (RAC) wanted a grand to insure a diesel Citroen C5 diesel Third Party Fire and theft when my "good", group 17 car is £450 Comprehensive with full NCB

Cheers

I don't think an insurance company exists that won't try and rip you off, no matter whether its your first or 100th car!

To be fair I don't feel I've been that ripped off in the past, I've insured £20k plus high group cars for the last 20 years and paid about £400-£500 a year

I take your point though and that said I've never claimed

I just don't see the reasoning behind charging daft money and not allowing a substantial discount/ allowance for NCB for a second car. I can only drive the cars one at a time. Speaking to the drones who work in the call centres makes it even more of a chore..........

Specialist on limited miles, someone like Footman James or Flux would do 3k limits and be sympathetic
