Having been very busy recently I have decided to purchase my car tax online like this year. Having not done this for a few years, due to no car, I thought the process would be pretty painless.

The site is down for maintenance. But wait, everything else on the site is fully functional, just the one page that I require is not available.

Great. Anyone know when it's due to be back up?

It's probably gone down due to everyone doing the same.
I usually use the online route and it's typically fast and efficient. Usually takes less time than just finding the paperwork that would be needed at the po.

This wouldn't bother me if I knew that it paid for 3rd party insurance for said chavs.

As is done in some other countries, insurance is optional since 3rd party insurance is covered by your taxdisc.

It's being used to pay interest on loans taken out over the last few decades by both red and blue colours of government.
