If so low 20's and the usual 30 on the motorway going steady

We have the 2.5T and get real world 26mpg and about 30 on a run.
Assume the 2.3 is NA so would be slightly be better (albeit dog slow).
The follow up to the 2.5 is IIRC a 2 turbo. (Ecoboost???)
