Perhaps people could put a note here with prices when they find a garage / tyre centre that fits tyres cheaply? I'm thinking of the problem some of us have when we buy internet tyres and then some garages don't really want to fit them so charge a lot. Whereas some local places are still pretty cheap / reasonable. (Following on from the 'winter tyres' thread http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... ). It's not a dig / moan at garages that do so, (it's up to them) but I just want a factual thread, if people join in.

One place this morning ('Tyrecity', Edgware, HA8 7DD) quoted me £20 a wheel to fit some snow tyres I've bought off the internet, which I believe is more than some others have paid. So to start us off, smile does anyone know a cheap place in Edgware / Harrow / North West London area that fits tyres & prices that you please? I'm willing to travel a bit of a distance if necessary.

A tenner a wheel is what you're looking for, in the long run you may be better buying some winter wheels.

I found that the back street places, such as those offering part worns, will do a swop over for beer tokens smile

Which is fine as long as you don't have nice alloy wheels!
