Just been hit up the rear!
Discussion
So I was sat at a roundabout 15 minutes ago, and some muppet just drove up the backside!
Not alot of damage to either vehicle (I'll need a new back bumper) but it felt like he was going some!
Joking apart......neck is tingling......I'm not saying it's whiplash (although I wouldn't know what this felt like), but it's kind of burning inside.
What do I do? A&E?? GP's tomorrow??
If I'm going to make a claim, has anyone any experience/recommendations?

Get some of those no win, no fee lawyers on the case and rape the other driver's insurance for every penny you can get. It helps if you start walking with a limp and develop some sort of psoriasis on the back of your neck. Not alot of damage to either vehicle (I'll need a new back bumper) but it felt like he was going some!

By reading my sarcastic answer you could probably guess that I hate the american inspired f
king blame culture that has arisen in the uk.
If its bumper damage I'm guessing its not serious, even if you have a little neck pain is it going to affect your life? Will money change it?
What happened to men being men and just accepting these things happen in life, you are alive be grateful for that.
No wonder why my insurance premiums are sky high!
As you've probably guessed, I feel very strongly on the subject!

Tbh I think 90% of phers would be claiming for such accident , free money just before Christmas it's like someone is smiling on you
It's not f
king free money. We all pay for it. I've been rear ended at junctions twice and didn't try and put in any kind of injury claim because I had a sore neck, despite the seemingly never ending bunch of
s who phoned me up and tried to encourage me too. Just because some feckless, immoral, f
kwits see it as a pools win doesn't mean that everyone has the same low standards.k15tox said:

You might feel strongly about it, but (with respect, obviously) I disagree and much of your post is keyboard-warrior-nonsense.

From the OP's original post, he is not at fault and has been hit by another driver. If he has genuinely suffered injury as a result, he should be entitled to damages.
Why on earth should he have to "accept that these things happen in life"? If he needs physio or loses salary, why shouldn't the muppet who drove into him be responsible for the costs? Where do you draw the line? In your view, can he claim for the damaged bumper or should he just "take that like a man" as well? And if he can claim for the bumper, why not the physical injury and the costs arising from it?
I'm completely opposed to fraudulent claims and some of the shonky insurance practices that are genuinely responsible for pushing up our insurance. But injured people claiming in respect of genuine injuries is nothing new, has happened for decades and seems perfectly legitimate.
OP - you have my sympathies (assuming you're not trying it on...!). Get it looked at, and if it still hurts tomorrow report the accident to your insurers and talk to Annies Dad.
