They seem to think they can give me a rental at 21 years old for £98 a week - seems suspiciously cheap and of course they don't say which of the numerous rental firms it'd be with. Most of the big firms add young driver surcharges of £x/day which bumps the price right up.

Yep and no problems. I'm pretty sure they are just a middle man for a.n. other local hire firm. Usual caveats - make sure you check it back in with them and get it signed off.

Their website suggests that they are a middleman for a lot of the big suppliers (Hertz, Avis, Sixt, Europcar etc) but none of them will give me a quote as low as £98 a week (for a Corsa) if I go direct, so you might be right and they might have some of the smaller independents on board.

I think they have numerous deals in each location based upon who they are getting their cars from? If I remember correctly anyway. Think the cheapest will be an old shed, and prices go up etc etc

They're legit, never actually used them myself but have got quotes quite a few times. The T&Cs for each car should tell you what the underage charges will be as there likely will be for someone aged 21. Also they often have several similar cars listed at different prices, worth bearing in mind that one at £98/week may be £10 a day for under 23s whilst one at £110/week may be £5/day extra etc.

Haven't used them personally, but my brother recommended them when i was looking, as he used them no problems

Yes used them in the USA and they were cheapest by miles got a nice new 3.7 Jeep Liberty for two weeks for £230.

I used to put plenty of customers their way when I worked for a big UK travel agents. No complaints from customers.

as said theyre a middle man so will get a voucher for another rental company

yep, just make sure you get quoted all the fees, etc, they often would not include them (i had to pay extra when dropping a car to another location). otherwise ok.

Hmmm in that case I might end up being stung for a young driver surcharge when I get to the rental station?

I only use them when hiring in Europe unless I need to go to Eastern Europe that is!

I used them last year for a road trip in america. They were the cheapest by a large margin and offered pretty good options, eg sat nav, no mileage limits etc.

I've used them before - check the details you entered closely again, if they are correct go with it.

Yep I've used them twice and had no problems.

Extra insurance and bringing the car back with an empty tank are the only things I've noticed companies doing to get a bit more money out of you.

Found the catch in the T&Cs - £13.33 + VAT per day surcharge payable at location.
