Just been to view an E46 for a mate but the airbag light was on. I always thought this was an mot failure but the trader said it wasnt, Anyone got the official line on it?

TIA

There was a thread on PH recently that stated the air bag light is being considered as a failure for the 2012 changes.

(Often this light is caused by the underseat wiring connectors that go to the seatbelt tensioners.)

A likely cause. Worked for my E38, satisfying 10 minute job. Explanation on linky.

Deffinately NOT a current fail. (it gets an "advisory")

But will become a fail from next year.
