Hi guys I've seen an S4 but its been resprayed (not wrapped) in satin black

Now I like it and have painted a couple of my old cars this colour many years ago.

But I don't tend to keep cars long and so I wondered will I be able to sell a £10k car in this colour / what's its effect on value ?

I would discount it by the cost of a decent respray if you want to be sure of getting my money back at resale time.

It seems to be an 'in' look at the moment (and has been for a while now), so as long as tastes/ fashion doesn't change I'm sure you won't have any issue selling it.

If you like it...

It immediately renders it worthless.
Let me know when you're done with it and I'll take it off your hands.

Depends on the car, the quality of the paint, the amount of preparation time and the finish.

If you want to get any money back at all, just add a pack of these and sell it to your local education authority...

Proper job on an S4 as stated.

I think that this is a particularly unwise modification.

Hearing the comments from colleagues and friends who see one, along the lines of Look at that S==t!, What the F--k is that?, etc I cannot see a good end value.

I have never liked the look and never heard anyone praise the effect.

All downhill in my view.

Any pics of the car? I know of a company that built one a while back.

Delta S4's are making about £100,000 these days. A matt black one would need restoring in my opinion and only worth half that at best.
