This website flashed up as an ad on my FaceBook page the other day:

http://cars-sales-direct.com/

Some of the prices on here seem quite cheap, but can anyone else see a catch?

As a starter, and before looking, guess how much an 04, 65000 mile, DB9 might go for...

An '08 320d coupe with 22,000 miles just less than 8 grand?

Yeah, ok.

Got to be a scam. No way this would be £7700. http://cars-sales-direct.com/2008-bmw-3-series-320...
More like £20,000.

If it was a repo, then why would they have pics of the same car wearing different wheels?

also none of the pictures are taken from the trading estate from which the company is allegedly based.

speaking of which, I can't find it on street view at the location they say

I may be thick, but I can't find any address, phone or company number, or VAT details on that web-site. You send the money and they ship the car, you don't like it and you can send it back?!!! Yeah, right!

Okay, I'm thick, but this doesn't look much like a car dealer

SUITE 9 NORMANBY GATEWAY, LYSAGHTS WAY,SHORPE, NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE, DN15 9YG, United Kingdom.

Google shows it as an accommodation address

Its a scam. The accommodation address is enough of a clue.

I would remember the old adage,

If it looks to good to be true, it is too good to be true.

I would not proceed on this at all. It has all the hallmarks of a scam.

In the ad text, it mentions both sets, the M6 rims with winter tyres, so probally comes with both sets of wheels.

The ad reads more like a "look at my car" forum post than an actual "for sale".

No mention of service history / MOT, for example...

If a car was repo-ed, they'd take the car as is - I doubt they'd take your winter wheels as well!
