I know I change my vehicle every 6 months, but this time its for something different... but still around the £2k mark

Hilux?, L200?, Navara?, Ranger?, or something different?

ETA: Needs to be a double cab.

Is a pick-up necessary? Plenty of very good, big 4x4s out there at this budget.

Pickup has always been on the 'bucket list', but would would consider something like a shogun sport as a compromise. I did the big 4x4 LR disco thing last year, so don't want another one of those.

I've always like the hilux.
You can probably get one for that money.

5000 Middle Eastern rebels with A47s can't all be wrong.

Massive load space, being able to squeeze the road from leicester to peterborough in the back. wink

Mazda BT50 it's a Ranger in disguise but much less loved due to scene tax on Rangers. So it'll be cheaper.
I'd go HiLux though.

I have a 77 LWB F100 ute with a 351 clevo in it.

Only cost $2k and is rather comfy. Mine is on LPG so only 50c per litre to fill up. Do they have them in England?

If they are that old across here they are usually well loved and cared for classics. Newer F100s have to be imported iirc. Even LPG across here is getting quite expensive these days at around 75p a litre
