Well I have been watching the auctions again, two vehicles have come up for sale and the description states "No Documents supplied with this vehicle", these are genuine large auction companies so don't fear any wrong doing.

However, how do I go about getting V5's etc for these vehicles? I would be looking to buy to sell.

You'd need to use a V62 to apply for a V5C

Thanks Jame

Would I need to prove proof of ownership etc for that then? Would an invoice from the Auction company suffice etc?

No, because a V5C is nothing to do with proof of ownership, it's just proof that you have declared yourself as being the registered keeper. This is so the authorities know who to contact with queries relating to the car (accidents, speeding fines etc..)

You will need proof of ownership in case the police or anyone else dispute that you own the car. This should be in the form of a receipt for the payment you made for the car, but it's nothing to do with the V5C.
