Help: I want to drive an MX5

Afternoon,
I have the urge to get in an Mx5 and have a drive having never done so, but I can't. What I usually do in this situation is sell my car and buy an MX5 which I can't do either.
Being 19 I can't drive other cars so even if I knew someone with an MX5, I can't drive it.
The best solution I have come up with so far is invest a grand-1500 in an Mx5, swap my insurance over for a week or so and see if I like it.
That can't be the only way?
Are there any driving experience days where I can get in an MX5?

(p.s before the PH non conformists come along I've always liked MX5s since I got Gran turismo on the PS1. This isn't a PH thing... but PH has influenced the obsession!!)

Find a trader who is selling one and have a test drive? Ask for an extended test drive for a weekend or whatever?
Or, if you do know someone who has one, see if you can take it to some private land for a drive. Know anyone who has a private driveway (longer than 10metres) that you could use to have a blip?
It all depends on how badly you want one really. Buying one just for a week seems a bit extreme. What happens if you dont like it? I suppose you wouldn't lost much on it, but is it worth the risk?

Can't you find one at a garage and go test drive one? The whole point of a test drive is not just to see if there is anything wrong with the car but also to see if you like it and could live with it. )Afternoon,
