Simple poll, you are one of two drivers having a difference of opinion.
Do you get out of your car or drive on?
We'll assume it is a dark night, you cannot see the other driver, you do not know the age, gender, the numbers of the occupants and their relative size, what we're going on is what you consider to be the correct course of action in all situations - there are no man-points to be had for getting all macho with an old woman and toddling off on your way if it's four builders in the Honda Jazz.

In reality i would stay in the car in pretty much any situation where there is likely to be conflict. I have no intention of being stabbed by some chav for having the right of way.
Also I drive a fairly large car that would make a handy weapon if it really came to it, why the hell would I get out of it?

If I'm experiencing road rage, I'll drive on. As per another topic, calling the other driver a nincompoop makes it difficult to remain irritated.
However if it's a minor debate then I'll nip out of the car - e.g. can you move your car so I can get past, or any chance I could cut in front of you as I want to go down that road.

As much as I hesitate to agree with Papa Hotel (his posting history paints him as unnecessarily contrary really...), I have to agree that in the vast majority of cases it is inadvisable to get out of your car to discuss a 'difference of opinion' that might arise while driving.
For the record though - re. the previous thread - I thought LK behaved quite reasonably given the circumstances... (based on just his side of the story, admittedly)

Just watched all of those. Trunk Monkey chasing the car crash victim with the defibrillator had me in stitches.
Nothing, save an accident or someone being hurt is worth getting out for. If it's some disagreement/handbags, just call them a expletive get it out of your system, concentrate and move on. I think you are more likely to have an accident through lack of concentration through sheer anger/frustration after something like that..

Contrary because I didn't agree with the OP? I think you'll find mny opinion was the majority verdict. For the record though - re. the previous thread - I thought LK behaved quite reasonably given the circumstances... (based on just his side of the story, admittedly)
Honestly, can't people have a different opinion these days? I could berate many of the posters in that thread for being sycophantic dullards, it wouldn't be any more correct than labelling me as "contrary".
