The mrs is wanting to swap her golf for something with an auto box and sat Nav. She only does about 7-8k per year, and has always fancied a merc cabrio.

Well at the weekend that crazy Chinese bird ling was tweeting about how cheap some slks were that she had at 350 PCM (3 + 23) inc vat (I can't claim vat)

Well after digging about I came across this one on offer from a mb main dealer.

SLK200 AMG Sport Edition 125 Auto in Iridium Silver with Black leather, Analogue clock, Cupholder, Panoramic glass sunroof, Heated front seats, Interior light package, and Mirror package:
Operating lease 3+23 10k £255+vat

What other options are out there with Nav and auto for this kind of money. I'm having trouble finding alternatives to compare against before I dive in.

Anyone else seen any mental lease deals suitable for Er indoors?

I think that's got to be a mistake.

Also, is MB business finance available to private users?

One caveat with MB Finance is they are notorious for very harsh end of lease damage charges.

If they're quoting +VAT charges, these are usually business contracts, no?

Will they give this to you if you're not a business?

I agree that seems too cheap to be true for an SLK.

You could get a 1.4 DSG Golf Cabriolet on a Personal Contract for £320ish, then buy a TomTom.
No point in paying extra for sat nav if you are giving the car back after 3 years.

We are a business. The golf isn't on lease, I'll just flog it and settle the finance off.

The price is correct, I confirmed with the dealer. The main thing she is wanting to swap for is the auto, but it makes no sense to swap to the same golf with auto/Nav when the is an amg merc for £100 PCM less. Currently it's a gt 160 tsi that she has

Snatch their hands off then, it's £150/mth cheaper than the (normally pretty good) offers on the MB website (and I'm not sure if they have the panoramic roof).

Which SLK are MB offering? Is it the Mk III or MK II?

I know MB are trying to shift a few unregistered MK II which might be why they are offering good lease terms.

I'm very tempted hence the post. There's a darker grey one with a few more toys, inc airscarf, for about 18 quid extra.

I'm thinking it's rather cheap, but prestige motoring for 2 years.

The SLK deal has been around for a few weeks. Very limited numbers so grab one while you can. You wont find ANYTHING as good for anywhere near that money.

Is the offer on the website, or through the dealer?

Got the Palladium one ordered today, they went down to £265 plus vat (I'm from yorkshire we're born to haggle).

It is a genuine deal from that dealer, I tried a mate who runs MB bristol, and another local one and none could get below £350 plus vat over 3 years.

If anyone want to know where to get the deal pm and I'll forward you the direct contact

Amazing! They have COMAND as well, don't they? I think that's part of the 125 package.

Any idea quite why they're so cheap? As I said earlier, it's £150/mth less than on the MB website.

How did you just stumble across the deal, or is there somewhere to look to find these deals?

they are pretty much fully loaded out of the box, but the lady I am dealing with has a number of 200's and 250's available. The deal was on a popular car leasing website, but it wasw for 250's at 277 plus vat. But when I rang up their was loads of choice.

Blimey - there are loads of hits if you Google for them!

One comes up at £199/mth on a 6+23 lease.

I'd love a great deal on an ML.

The ones at 199 are bog standard manuals, no amg, auto, pan roof etc

after lings tweeting at the weekend, I went searching and found the better deals for the fully loaded ones

she has some great ML deals too. ping me a pm and I'll put you in touch.
