Got debating this yesterday at the NEC in Birmingham with a few other PHers, there is no right or wrong answer but in my opinion the five best looking cars of all time are;

1. Lotus Elite

2. Lamborghini Miura

3. Ferrari 250GTO

4. Aston Martin DB5

5. Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing

Strange that nothing modern crept in. So in your (un)professional opinion?

In my opinion, one of the most underated cars in regards to overall styling has to be the original Audi TT.
As a car I dont rate them, but no one can argue the fact it was a game changer.
Look at other cars on the roads since it was launched and little cues are copied in some way.

The Alfa 8C is basically automotive pornography!

The Ford Puma was in all fairness a damn pretty little car.

Peugeot RCZ. If you havnt seen one in the flesh yet, trust me, for the price nothing even comes close. ( subject to colour )

The Range Rover. every model since the start has managed to fit with current design trends, while keeping to its roots of practicality and imposing ( im better than you ) image.

I rather agree, yet I would replace the DB5 with a DB4 GT Zagato:

and the 300 SL by the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale:

And possibly, the 250 GTO could be replaced by a 250 LM:

I'll probably change my mind a couple of times later on :-)

I think the 246 (or 206) Dino would have to be in my list somewhere. I think ALL of my choices would probably be from the 60s or earlier.

Lovely car that E-type. Shame it seems to have spilt a fair amount of something all over the floor which explains the sand hehe

Saying that, it's probably just near a beach haha.

Just wondering if the OP could be any more cliche with his choices. I suspect not.

Yeah, looks like it to me. Bit overcast / foggy.
Probably the Pebble Beach Tour D'Elegance, which stops in Carmel along the route.

They are cliched for good reason.

Care to offer some out of the box thinking then?

How did I overlook the DB4 GT Zagato that is truly a beautiful car. The Tipo 33 is art. This is a difficult list to compile.

Here's a challenge for everyone. What current production cars would we say fit the criteria?
What are the top 5 best looking current production cars?
