If so, what's the torque split? Anyone know?

No idea on the split, but its defo AWD all the time.

They couldn't use a VXR engine with more power than the Vectra and still run everything through the front wheels.

I've just read somewhere that said it used the Saab Haldex system so now I'm very confused!

Googling the 2010 Insignia catalogue says it's 90% front unless needed otherwise.

Damn. It almost made my list, but I don't want a FWD car that puts a bit to the back "when needed". Shame, as I really love the way it looks. Is this still the case in VXR mode, as Evo says "Press the more extreme VXR button and you get the usual: stiffer suspension, sharper steering and throttle, plus a little more rear bias for the 4wd."?

Am I being stupid? Or would it be woefully outdone by a Subaru or even a B7 S4?

Pretty much every car that starts out FWD is going to be front biased, it makes much more sense when engineering the chassis.

Should be the same system as Saab, which can transfer 100% torque to front/rear wheels.

I'm sure you can get software boxes that can change to split to a permanent 40/60 front/rear

It's 95:5 front:rear in normal drivig but puts more to the rear under acceleration. In Sport mode it's 40:60 front:rear.

Always? So it basically runs like an S4 does provided you're in sport or VXR modes?
