As a life long car nut, when I was a mini-me, the cars on the wall were the Porsche 911, Lamborghini Countach and the Ferrari F40.

And you never saw them on the roads - even the Porsches were rare.

Then, when I was in the just-got-my-first-car-and-going-out-on-the-town age of life, the Escort Cosworth was revered like no other in the car mad fraternity and the Ferrari F355 was the jaw dropping car that aspirational dreams were made of.

What was the 'car of the day' for you? And for the younger generation - what cars do you lot go nuts about nowadays?

On the wall for me were Mclaren F1s and XJ220s. Used to love the F1 and had a book of supercars and the part about the F1 I would read constantly.

Funny thing is today I prefer older cars more than anything else. Especially the Ferrari F40 and the Delorean DMC-12. I had a brief obsession with the Porsche Carrera GT when it first came out but the F40 and the Delorean both remain my 2 favourite cars of all time.
