In response to another thread I thought I would share some of my car history.

age 17 circa 88, 1980 honda acord auto, actually thought the acord was the prelude and did'nt like to say no.

age 18, 1979 ford granada 2.8 ghia auto, after that 1981 bmw 728 manual

about 20 years old granada 2.8i 'L' maual, ex police spec bought from Liverpool car auctions with knackerd gear box.

After that me and a mate had a car pitch dealing in bangers so many a shed was driven for a couple of years. I then got a proper job and bought a 1984 audi 80 2.2 quatro, probably the best car I have ever had.

Now well into my mid 20's I purchased a 1989 2.9 xr4x4, seem to remember having a black XR3i before this as well.

After that I had a couple of series 3 XJ6's before buying my first newish car which was a 2 year old astra estate, then a vectra diesel, next a vectra 2.0 GLS estate, then a Mondeo diesel estate and current car, a 57 Focus diesel estate.

I have always liked the big engine, big body automatic cars, just don’t like putting the fuel in them anymore.

There have been quite a few others dotted round that I have driven for a while but can’t remember at the moment. However if the best was the audi, undoubtedly the worst has to be a mitsubishi colt cordia auto with brake(s) on one wheel only, the handbrake was used more then the foot brake.

As for the PH spelling police, fk the capitals.
