Problem with the focus is that they are guarenteed to have had a hard life in terms of flat out motoring.

Here's another OP:

Fully rebuilt engine (25k ago) Sierra RS Cosworth 4x4...

Looks like it could be very clean underneath...

In-between budget at 6.5k:

Why would specifically a Focus be driven flat out??

Could spend less than half that budget and get a ZR 160. A Clio 182 is probably the best choice for you though, again under budget by a margin. MK4 Golf GTi 1.8T? Probably a bit thirsty, but plenty of power with a remap and some come with heated leather Recaros, much more comfortable for 35 miles a day, again well within budget.

Have you done any insurance quotes on these sorts of car?

Out of all the ones you mentioned I personally would go for the Z4. We're all to our own though and I would strongly suggest going to test drive a shortlist of the ones you like the best.

Sensible approach - how did the previous accident happen and why, how recently too?

That would inform car advice to be honest - going into something "nippy" again might provoke the same issue again otherwise.

Don't get me wrong, I am not judging/assuming based on your age, but its always wise to ask if your looking for more speed again.

Ford focus RS? you know the 'type' of people to buy them will not treat them very kindly.

Fair enough. The sierra above looks like it has been taken care of. Seat ibiza cupra? 1.8 audi turbo engine, can be remapped to up to 270bhp!!

I can actually read it. as daft and pathetic as it sounds, I just switch off.

It is like trying to take in what is said by someone on Jeremy Kyle, my mind draws a blank after a few seconds and just wanders onto other things.

So my car advice, given that I only read the first tree words of the first post is:

bmw e36 m3
or
bmw e46 330

I know that you're stepping away from French motors, but look at this...

Had a quick sniff on the Megane fold, and I just can't believe how much these are going for:

A Trophy edition well under budget at £4450bounce

Yep the last post which ive had in mind but do they have a lot of problems and i suppose if u look after it would i get 30mpg. I take it no 1 likea my idea of a merc c220 coupe thn lol. And a m3 would b nice like wa that guy just said but cost a lot for insurance and fuel.
