Help! Attractive family car need ASAP
Discussion
Hello, I'm new here and I hope you can help me
I'm starting a business and I need a car that looks professional, but I have two small children so I need a fair amount of boot space. I like hatchbacks and the vw Beetle in terms of looks. My budget is around £1500, and ideally I'd like something that looks neat and compact (or quirky and vintage!) but delivers as much on space as possible too.
Any comments or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Alfa 147, or a 156 if you could cope with a saloon.
Alfa was my first thought, but an estate would seem the better choice. Most modern Alfa's look good in estate form IMO. Vauxhall Signum might be an idea too, always seem keenly priced and are spacious, look ok. The VW beetle however is not a nice looking car so our opinions may be very different.66comanche said:

a) a Beetle (hahahahahahaha!)
b) a classic. (Volvo Amazon, Triumph 2.5PI, Mercedes W123, etc) I used this technique for a couple of years, and my customers never suspected that I was a (broke) cheapskate!
I still use this technique, but now it's because I don't give a toss what people think
