You'll be no doubt surpassed to learn that someone in Surrey has actually bought a Cygnet and is now venturing out in public.

This one is now located in a well know commuting town, just outside London in the train station car park.

Judging by the parking skills, we suspect the owner might be female. hehe

If I'm honest, I like them.
Ignoring the fact that it is a badged up IQ (which in itself is a good car) I think it's a good idea, a luxury small car yes

May end up being a decent 2nd hand buy.

Apart from it costing three times the price of the iQ, I'd be inclined to agree.

They've done a very good job inside.

Should be in the bad parking thread. I mean, how difficult would it be to park that within the lines?

Do they tweak the engine or suspension or anything? Or is it literally an IQ with a stitched dash?
I'd have expected replica buckety-type seats, not flat standard ones.

No engines changes etc IIRC just the visual aspect interior/exterior that's changed.

Now that I like, some of the interior shots I've seen up until now have been rather gash. Especially the red and black.

The engine and drivetrain are completely untouched but, according to EVO magazine, several cows die to make the interior. It does look beautifully well-appointed inside I have to say. Somewhat more than the "stitched dash" that you suggest.

Those bonnet vents look like they've been stuck on and the wheels look like Motorworld wheeltrims

I guess I don't work in automative market research or product planning, so I'm sure I am wrong.

But seems to me they made a mistake by not doing some tuning, I'm not suggesting a v8 or v12 or anything smile just a little tweaking.

Be interested to know what the profit margin is in these...

Spotted one in Tetbury a couple of months ago and to be perfectly honest aside from the badge on the front I could have easily ignored it. The interior on the light grey one I saw was mostly black/grey which really didn't make it look that special.

As I understand it the Cygnet is purely to help AM improve it's green credentials and to lower the average CO2 output across the range - right?

I quite like them. I wouldnt buy one, but if it helps Aston to continue to make the bigger motors by lowering their group emissions, then fair play!
