RIP little snotter
Discussion
My much loved, much abused Citroen AX is dead. Drove home as usual, no problems, 70ish on the A11/A14, but when I parked outside the house I could smell burning oil. Popped the bonnet, thin film of oil over the whole engine. Where is that coming from? Ah, the radiator overflow. There appears to be more oil in the radiator than in the sump.
So at 17 years and 174,000 miles, it is time to say goodbye. Maybe it is just the head gasket that has gone, but the car has less than 2 months MoT remaining and a fair bit of rot in the bodywork, so it doesn't make financial sense to try and fix it. It was a good snotter and I liked it.
Anyone got a cheap AX for sale?
