On my rat run to work i regularly go past a house where theres always a high powered sports car or fancy SUV parked outside with Isle of Man plates on it. The dude seems to change cars every 2-3 weeks or so, i'm assuming hes buying to sell on....so whats the deal with buying abroad to UK spec, importing it here, and selling it on? Is there a small profit to be made? Or can u buy one, drive it for a few weeks and sell it to break even, having enjoyed a brand new car for a bit?

The guys over here in Germany can't get over how cheap our second hand cars are.

There might be a profit in buying cars to sell on the mainland.

I thought I would be able to buy up a stock of Greek porsches that all the 49 year old retired primary school teachers drive over there - Alas, when I looked into it because of the Euro being nearly the samI e as a £ now it ain't a viable thing to do.
