Do they work in 12v sockets and do you get double the benefit if you put one in the boot socket?

My ram being an American truck as 4 lighter sockets. According to my extensive calculations the effect of this should be additive. So I should be able to get 80% better fuel economy.
My Ram currently averages about 18-20 mpg long distance- so I should be able to achieve 33 mpg!
