TVR Cerbera would be an interesting left field choice. If you want a weekend/ track car though, surely that means you have another daily driver, and can afford to go more extreme (or less compromised) on the weekend fun toy?

Technically, it does, though if I'm being honest, it looks more like storage for amputees...

Does it really have to have 4 seats?

Have considered Cerb but last experience of TVR was bits falling off and not too good after a drop of rain good fun though and a great noise !

You could get some very well sorted 4wd Japanese machinary for that, not for everyone mind.

Or a proper track car, tow car and trailer?

£20K should get you into a higher mileage CSL.

In which case you are excused wink Well my parents having Imprezas made me very proud in the school car park and they were very capable on trips to the ring. It even went down well with my mother who now won't have anything but her Impreza!

Really? I've seen a few EVO's let go on track.

I'd look at an E46 M3, then chuck the money left over at an AP big brake kit and some semi slicks.

Any car can be built up for that money.

As you want a 4 seater I'd think about taking a chassis that only costs you £1000 and spending the other 19k on modifications to make it more suitable for track use. Roll cages, fire suppression systems, harnesses, track tyres, wet tyres, power medications, shocks, springs, etc...

If you need 4 proper seats then

E46 M3 CS
E60 M5
Monaro VXR

Not a big evo/Impreza fan TBH, although they are very capable machines.

From memory if it only has 2 doors a lot of tracks / trackdays, if not all, will not allow you to take rear seat passangers.

Funnily enough, as per thread, I found this out in a Cerbera 4.5.
