My new car is being delivered next week and my insurance requires a tracker for it, I've had a look on the tinterweb but there seems to be loads of options, the insurer doesn't state which one so can anybody recommend one?

Obviously better value would be top priority as it's only for insurance purposes, I wouldn't really want it back if it was stolen anyway!

Thanks

A lot of alarm companies do GPS style trackers now,

Check out Toad erm... who are the other alarm manufacturers that are still in business?

Failing that, there's always the good old fashioned Tracker. If they've not specified what degree of cover it needs to have, then you could just hire an african bushman for 3 and 6 to stalk your car through the urban jungle.

I used Chameleon to install one last year. I would recommend them.

Most insurers have categories for 'GPRS tracker' which can be bought on ebay pretty cheap, easy install, they work well, no subscription etc. I would reccomend one of these - if you dont want the car back they have a relay for disabling an electrical circuit such as the engine/lights etc, hook this up and turn it off when map shows its going top lick on the motorway ;p
