If you fill in a form on new reg they will tell you what its worth. Did it a few years ago and quite a good price paid from what I remember.

I'd say it's worth avoiding.

Numberplates are often worth a lot to the right buyer, but absolutely nothing if you can't find that buyer. They're often for sale for years and years - that one isn't brilliant, so if you gave him £500 you'd be doing him a big favour.

If he supplies the screw caps that you will need to make the plate read like you want it to , about £175 tops

Probably no more than any other normal plate. It's not an obvious one by any means. A 3 doesn't really look like a D to my mind.

If you buy it make sure you post a pic on the Chavplates thread 'cos that's where it belongs. I'd give him about £20 (to cover the cost of the actual plates).

IMO it's worth nothing.

But that's only what they're advertised for rather than what they're worth. I'd wager that they've been sat there for years. GO05 BYE reads more like Goose Bye to me.

It's quite a stretch to read Goodbye from any of those plates I think.smile

If it's on retention then I'd pay anything upto £50. Then return it to DVLA to get the £80 refund for the transfer fee already paid.

That's daft, if you offer him £50 I bet he will give you a guide.
