Sorry guys but just been putting some air in the tyres of my Mother's Cellica/Celica? Little 5 door jobbie....

All four were at 27/28 psi but the manual seemed to show they should be up at 37/38.

Seems high to me and you can feel the greater pressure for sure.

Help?? frown

Or am I being dumb or paranoid? smile

If the manual says it, it's right. Certainly if you have a crash that's what the police will say when they pull out a copy of this thread in court, and what the insurance company will say when they refuse your claim.

Are you sure that's not the recommended pressures for the car fully laden? Seems high to me.

Thats what I thought... the range went from 35 up to 38 and 39 depending on engine and load so opted for 37.

Will re read it and see if I am losing the plot - have read it twice!

Ignore all this!

Have looked again and the correct pressure should be down around 32/33 as I wont be driving at over 100mph... Have already dropped them down.

There were three more pages of pressures but I was looking at the page marked by the Mrs frown (Which she handed me in the Petrol Station last night. (Honest Gov.)
