Transit Connect sized van..
Discussion
Be careful with the Gross Vehicle Weight here, if it's over 2000kgs ( and some are that you'd never suspect) then it's 50mph on single carriageways, 60 on duals.
I got three points by a scamera van, so you don't have to.
ETA
I now have a Kangoo, they're sooo cheap to buy and run.

Valid point, my cousin got snapped doing 60mph on a single carriageway in his Caddy. His previous Berlingo was 50kg under the weight limit apparently and he would have been OK.I got three points by a scamera van, so you don't have to.
We use Connects and Combo vans, the Connect is larger in the back and has a better turning circle than the Combo, but the Combo feels much nicer to drive, whereas the Connect is a bit cheap and nasty inside, and is also noisier and just generally feels harsh and slow. If I had to buy one, personally it would be the Vauxhall.
Weve decided to go up a size and thinking of buying a transporter (8000ish) or contract hiring a brand new one. Wasnt aware of the speed restrictions... good to know! Although i prefer pootling around in vans rather than hammering them everywhere! i refused to be one of those
